The best companies are best at managing change
All companies continuously improve their operations, making small and incremental changes. These changes do not need large scale change management methodology or extensive communication. There are types of change, however, that need to be managed strongly and systematically. The examples on this website are IPOs, mergers & acquisitions, restructuring and rebranding, often combined. In all cases, managing the internal environment is fundamental, while managing the external environment is incremental. The intensity of communication increases outside, but inside different instruments are called for and business as usual is simply not sufficient.
